Pickleball's biggest tournament outside of the USA returns in 2024
Everything is set for the biggest pickleball tournament outside of the USA
The Skechers English Open, which takes place at the Nottingham Tennis Centre, will return for its second edition in 2024, and has been extended to an eight-day event.
The tournament will run from 8-14 August, with the first two days of the event reserved for the qualifying competition.
The 2023 edition of the tournament was the first to be held outside of the United States and featured a record-breaking number of players.
That tournament also saw Charlotte Ellam make her breakthrough into the world rankings, having only discovered the sport on holiday one year prior.
Ellam enjoyed a remarkable debut year on tour and will be looking to maintain her form in 2024.
Leading pickleball star Thaddea Lock is also set to compete at the 2024 English Open.
Lock is a former professional tennis player who has enjoyed great success in pickleball, winning the US Open in 2022.
The 2024 Skechers English Open is set to be another historic week for pickleball.
