Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at a key Boeing supplier, has died.

Dean had gone public with safety concerns about Boeing 737 jets and alleged retaliation by his employer, Spirit AeroSystems.

Dean's death comes as he was preparing to give a deposition in a lawsuit against Boeing.
